I started messing with free plex a few weeks ago, enjoying so far just not sure if I'll upload my dvds to it but I'd love to break free from iCloud for photos.m

Unless you really like to repeatedly watch old stuff over and over.
10 years ago when there was a pretty big dollar barrier to watch things this was great.
It also lets you avoid paying the one-time fee to use the Android/Apple apps.
Lastly, it looks like the intro/credit detection and skip is a Plex Pass exclusive feature. This works great and is pretty useful, as well.
The only negative I can say is that lifetime Plex Pass has frequently been offered between $70 and $90. Some of those were targeted email offers though. I got mine for $79, years ago.
