Yes. I used two last month to keep my baby's food warm. I threw away the inner plastic. I also placed watermelon inside on days that were 95 degrees and kept it cooler than room temp for about 6 hours. It's not the best but it works for the price.

Double hulled stainless steel is kinda the point to all of these overprices bottles and cans. I'm surprised they dicked this up so badly. It's just a coffee can.

I paid $45 dollars for this last time on Amazon. It's a good product plain and simple. Has always kept soups cold. The two plastic containers are okay, but the caps have rubber air exhaust that are easy to lose.

The jars are really useful because they're easier to clean when you take them out.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your comment, but coffee cans are not vacuum insulated. They are vacuum packed, but vacuum insulation is something entirely different.

Let me clarify. There is no vacuum insulation when one layer is plastic and the other is metal. It doesn't work like that. The vacuum is the insulation, and you can't create a vacuum with a piece of plastic stuck to a piece of steel. Which makes this an overpriced coffee can with plastic bag inside.

Just received this week and I can see it's nothing like a coffee can. There are 2 20oz plastic container that fit snugly stacked in the metal thermos. The thickness between inside and outside is the sealed vacuum space about 1/2" thick and that helps keep the content cold and prevents condensation and is cool to touch with hot food like most thermos products. Overall happy with purchase and looking forward to taking hot lunch for work in the 2-20oz containers which is not a lot of food for an average size lunch.

OMG....the vacuum is in between the two layers of metal wall of the container!
