I got a deal on one of these a bit back and used to hook my projector screen to my deck. Works good if your deck is high enough

Amatuer Tip -- don't try to put these up or take them down during high winds (referring to shade sails) -- watch your weather and prepare to have them down, or leave them up Smilie

Also -- soften the points a bit with a grinding stone (Dremel works).

Coolaroo kit (same items) is over $30 at Home Depot. Can't speak to the quality of the Amazon Kit. Coolaroo is good quality (the hardware and their Shade Sails). We've had tension sails set up in the Summer, about 5 months every year for probably 15 years. Awesome for the dogs and cooling the West side windows/house.

Search for "swing hangers", they normally have weight ratings (unlike those in this post).

m5 is roughly equivalent to 3/16". I definitely wouldn't trust something this small in diameter to hold up a 2 person swing. Especially when a 2 person swing could mean 150lbs. Or 600lbs+ of capacity. 3/16" for a static load of 600lbs. would probably be fine, but the torsional stress, friction and side load of a 3/16" turnbuckle used for a swing support would worry me. It just seems a little light duty for that application.

Lol. Totally made assumptions about what this was. Got a kit and these are the tiniest little things ever!!! Haha. LMAO. So cute. No way in hell they handle a tension sail.
