If this was meant to be ironic I apologize for spoiling the joke, but if not —
Columbia acquired Mountain Hardwear in 2003.

They are called Mountain Hardwear as a play on the word for a clothing brand. They serve as the high-tier items of Columbia like Marmot does for Coleman.

They've been Columbia for over 20 years. Many of the items you bought and liked were also when they were Columbia. Instead of just having an introspective moment and realizing you actually like the high-tier Columbia items, you are looking for something else for some reason. Silly.

A 0F rated bag is usually a survival temp rather than a comfort temp. I probably wouldn't recommend using this bag at temps much lower than 15-20F. And Gore-Tex on a bag could be for rain/snow protection but it's much more useful to prevent soak-thru if you have condensation issues in your tent in cold, dry temps.

Love me some mountain hardware. Nervous that I'm inevitably going to learn that they were bought out by columbia or something. Either way, in for the microchill hoodie. Thanks OP.

Thanks for posting more great MHW deals.

Don't really need anything here this time, but picked up two microchill hoodies. Have a lot of other microchill stuff, and love the feel and performance, so might as well add a couple hoodies. That iron oxide pattern/color was too cool to pass, and my wife will lovingly comment that it's perfect for fall.

Don't forget to check out the Last Chance sale section - they've added a bunch of new equipment and clothes there too that doesn't look too picked over yet!

Or maybe I just don't like the Columbia company? What's silly is caring about how other people spend their money.
I guess that makes sense if they burned you that bad. What did they do so bad that you won't even buy your favorite brand? They must have done something pretty bad.

Overall, much less attractive 65% off apparel selection than their previous big sales over the the last few years.

The addition of the sleeping bags is nice (the Gore-Tex version price is awesome)..

Where do you guys use a sleeping bag outside in 0F temps? True question, no hating, just curious. Do people take their families out in winter close to the Canadian boarder to camp outside?

Yes, absolutely. Winter camping in the snow and ice is a popular activity.

It might be cold, but the best part is no mud and no bugs.

Alright, I can't argue with that. Thanks for the responses on the usage of these products. They must be legit for the temps stated.
