I never thought gas pouring could appear to be so complicated and convoluted. Why does the can have so many buttons, knobs and dohickeys? Does the gas can have a white beard? It looks like Santa Claus got busy in someone's garage and created an unholy gas can abomination laugh out loud /joke

Seriously though, looks like a decent deal and I could use an extra gas can so I'm in; thanks OP. Hope I don't need an advanced degree in The Gas Pouring Sciences to successfully use it though...

the gas container requirement changed in 2009. So many safety feature built-in, some dont even know how to use it at first. Myself included. Sad but guess some what neccessary. i guess...

What is the problem here? Did you expect less or something?

It's a 1 gallon can. Now pour out the gas and see if after a minute it has expelled 3 gallons 😣

I was working at Lowe's back in 2009 when the change happened and after that we had so many angry customers because the price of them had tripled, then after they try to use it they would come back even more mad, and they had every right to be.

The initial ones took 6 hands to pour, and it would come out so slowly. They haven't gotten that much better. Though it's fairly easy to manipulate it so that you can bypass all the "safety" locks and buttons. What you're left with is a gas can that has one single very easy to press button and that's it. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube and it only takes about 5 minutes.

There are all kinds of easy videos out there on how to modify these gas cans so they will pour more easily and get rid of the bs crap that ruins them.

When they figure out how to automatically tax you for ever drop that comes out of these, they will add that on top also.

Old school gas cans are 100x better; the "safe" and "spill free" ones are the only ones I've ever spilled anything from, because they are not vented they build up pressure inside and when you go to use them this pressure expels the gas far faster than you expect (at first), causing it to slosh out of the fuel tank all over everything.

The stupid o-rings around the nozzles degrade and leak (since they are also the bearing between two sliding parts), causing gas to leak all over as you pour.

As an earlier poster mentioned, the epitome of idiocracy.

Stupid things leak a solid 3% of gasoline.

I'll take a few though. Tired of using the 5 gallon can to fill my mower and a small single gallon in the truck bed is always cheap insurance.
