I didn't know much about these but after some research I learned that these amps have their own little cult following. A lot of people praise then for their usable tone in recording. Frank' Zappa and Terry Kath (Chicago) supposedly used them on a lot of records as well as being a ton of other famous recordings here and there for guitar and bass (Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Elton John and more). Not bad for $80!
I remember seeing these in pawnshops all the time as a kid. I thought they were ancient. Now I know they were only 2 years older than me. Ugh! Haha

wow, i forgot about these. I remember being a kid and they were "out of my price range" I suppose I couldn't fathom a speaker that small costing that much however it obviously was a practice speaker. They were highly regarded back in the mid to late 90's.

I had one back in 1980. Used to take it on the roof of my apartment building and practice. Good times.

These were one of the main go-to's if you wanted a portable amp back in the day. Now of course they have a LOT of competition.

Fun tip with these. Have a friend open and close it while you're playing and it's like having a built in wah. Disclaimer, you might have to pay your friend in beers.
