I used to exclusively buy Vmonty but I switched to kerosene only. Have both in almost every color.

Kerosene are for everything - I wear them as an everyday short, on the golf course, swimming, etc. They're also super lightweight so they're great for travel. I also like that they're a little shorter than the Vmonty.

I have all the vmonty and they're great shorts. Bought a couple kerosene and liked them a lot and bought the whole set also. They're a thin hybrid material much cooler and lightweight. Simulator cut. Only thing odd was I bought them all in 32 and the khaki color was super small compared to the others and went to a 34 and they were good.

thanks for the feedback on the hybrid shorts... I ordered the black and gray.

i'm in between 34 & 36 on vmontys, so 36 hybrid should be just about perfect for me.

on a related note, i like their pants but at 5'11 the 36 is a bit too long. i wish more of their pants offered a length in addition to waist size.

Do the kerosene shorts touch the knee? I like my inseam around 7.5 inches, but I can't tell with the description of this product since they only give out seam and their inseam numbers are odd.

What exactly are you doing in the shorts to make them degrade.

I have used them for active ware occasionally when I'm too lazy to put basketball shorts on, while I was moving over a 1-2 week period, as basic everyday outfit, etc. and they're holding up like a champ.

Your dryer is probably wrecking them, they're too tight, or some other reason.

Been trying to find the inseam on these shorts also. Looking at images and using the 21" outseam it seems like these are likely closer to 10"-11" inseam shorts. I'm also looking to shop in the 7.5"-8.5" inseam range.

Id say the vmonty are about a 9" inseam. They fall above my knee.

I will say my vmontys from a few years back are better quality than the newer ones I've ordered, but shrinkflation I guess.

I have the charcoal heather shorts from a couple years ago, and one particular wash, they faded considerably and have a brownish amber hue to them in the sunlight.

That aside, I do love these shorts, so I bought a replacement charcoal pair, plus a pair in black. Ill just try not to wash them. Ever.
