Maxm 18W from each port. Is it only me who feels that calling it a 36W charger is misleading and borderline $c@mmy.
But I guess that's the industry standard on PD chargers now a days.

Even if it's free, a misleading claim is a misleading claim . Someone who is not that tech savvy may buy this thinking of it being a 36W charger - that's the point I am trying to make. You may differ in opinion and I respect that.

For a generic Chinese adapter? If you wanted to go that route, you can get those even cheaper (from US sellers shippers) on Aliexpress.

But It wasn't $7.99 at the time it came out. I'm sure a lot of people paid full price thinking they were getting a charger that could provide ~36w to their single device.

History aside, for $8 that can "kill 2 birds in one stone" vs 2 separate charging units for the same output is rather decent. It a deal for some folks however.

Do you think an Amazon branded product made in China is automatically superior?
For a buyer in the domestic U.S.? YES.

Good luck!

No support for Programmable Power Supply (PPS) so no Super Fast Charging support.
  • 5V at up to 3A
  • 9V at up to 2A
This adapter is a phone-prioritized design that was typically aimed at a user with a pair of older iPhones (many of which maxed out at 18W Power Delivery charging). Otherwise this is a reasonable price for a reasonable adapter. Half the price of something like the newest IKEA two-port model, though that adapter (found here [ikea.com]) adds support for QuickCharge, Programmable Power Supply (PPS) so can do Super Fast Charging, also supports higher voltage Power Delivery modes valuable for laptop and tablet charging, and even has a higher total power limit: 45W in single-port mode or 22W per port in two-port operation.

Good luck!
