lol, i9 and 4090 and only 16GB RAM. C'mon HP, cheap bastards
Seriously. 16GB RAM is like 4 Chrome tabs and Spotify these days. 32GB should become the minimum and 64GB should be the standard for medium-high range PCs.
The problem is all the bloatware on windows the best thing to do or one of the easiest things to do is as soon as you buy a new PC completely wipe everything and reinstall windows 11 international version it takes a lot of the spyware and blow completely off or you can run one of the micro windows installations It will reduce your windows operating resources down to below one gigabyte with a normal windows installation. You're looking at using about 8 GB just at idle.

That was obviously an exaggeration, but there are multiple pc games that came out in recent years where the RAM requirement for high settings was more than 16GB, and this will only increase with time. 16GB RAM is simply not enough for a high end gaming machine, which this claims to be. But by all means, you do you. I'm sure some games will even run with 8GB.
With the new RAM limits on the Ryzen 9Kx3d chips, I'd actually say 48GB should become the minimum and 96GB+ should be the standard for medium-high range PCs. If I'm spending 2K+ on a PC, I'd actually populate the MB with 192GB so its lasts the next 10+ years of browsing AND gaming at the same time.
Now, I'm running on 8GB and have 12 chrome tabs, 5 edge tabs, and a couple other programs running. But I get the guy's point.
