Should have in description it's a series one not the current version. While there's not much difference. There are some new features that people might want, for example the New sleep apnea upgrade

Another "used" term nonsense - "Renewed Premium". Greedy companies decided to make easy money and invented nice terms "Renewed" and "Refurbished" so they could sell used items like they are not.
PS, there was a sale of new "Ultra 2" model for about 550 which is much better deal.

I was late to this deal and purchased a week ago at $499. The first watch that came had a scratch and a scrape on the bezel. I returned it because it didn't meet "premium renewed" in my mind. I decided to try again and the 2nd one I ordered was perfect and had 100% battery health. The price dropped back to $449 and I just chatted with CS and they gave me a refund for the price difference. Overall very happy and a huge upgrade from my series 4.

There always seems to be "There's a better deal" post in the replies, with no link and zero information of where the supposed deal is. It doesn't seem to be on SlickDeals, that's for sure. Search "apple watch" and sort by New. I see no $550 deals on new an Ultra.

That's about as helpful as the "I got it for X price 5 years ago!" replies.

I think this is a good price. I just want to comment that that is my least favorite of the Apple Bands. I think, unless you are swimming or want to wear it in the shower, either of the Loops are a better bet. I'm partial to the Alpine Loop with the hook, but the velcro loop is thinner still and equally comfortable. If you search other listings you may be able to find one with a band more to your liking.

One of eBay's refurbished approved sellers has the ultra 2 for 539. It's ymmv but people including myself have been receiving targeting offers for another 10-20% off. I wound up getting the ultra 2 for 431+tax. Has the Apple warranty through July of 2025, 100% battery health. May be worth looking into.

It's not the ACTIVATION date, but the model number that determines whether or not O2 is enabled. The latest Ultra2 release is definitely disabled, but only in USA.
