I just got the 4x6 magnets from Walgreens from the prior deal. They look like I just ran them through my inkjet printer with low ink. Double check that the quality you get is acceptable when you pick this up.

Right? I've stopped getting prints from my Walgreens because of how bad the quality has gotten. I've started using Wal-Mart and at least there I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

I think it depends on the format, the last 8x10 bamboo frame came out really good for me. And I did not get the magnets deal since I saw the comments regarding low quality.

It could have been just my location too.

I don't know if it makes a differences, but when uploading photos are you hitting that button on the bottom right that says "upload preferences" and selecting "full resolution"? The first time I ordered photo prints I didn't hit that button and they looked all shitty and pixelated. But I bought photo magnets a few months ago when that deal came around, and I made sure I hit the full resolution button that time, and they looked great. I also ordered a canvas print of my dog and picked it up yesterday and it also looked great.

Oh, no, I had no idea that button was there! I assumed that my photos would be full quality.
I'm not entirely sure that matters in my specific case though, because you can see the rows of an inkjet head that went across. I'll keep in it mind in the future though, thanks much.

I'll add that I personally prefer the Walgreens canvas prints over several different online sites I have used in the past. They have a thick canvas, sturdy wooden frame, and pressed board backing that comes able to hang in either portrait or landscape. With the deals like this we typically take a recent picture we like of the kids/family/dog and take the opportunity to have it really nicely and easily displayed.

I agree. Walgreens magnets are terrible. Imo Shutterfly has great magnets. On the other hand Walgreens (near me) have great photos but Shutterfly photos are washed out and lifeless.

Wait wait wait. They have a 'shitty' setting and it's on by default. Same price and everything, but if you don't go out of the way to turn off 'shitty' then you get shitty. On the one hand I don't want to do business with a company whose default is shitty, but on the other hand it's a good deal if I know how to change it.

I left it on standard resolution to test it out. I uploaded a photo that was 7921KB. Walgreens received the photo and claimed it was 1299KB. I downloaded it from Walgreens and it ended up being 913KB. I compared the files and the bit depth and resolution and everything were the same. Toggling back and forth, I can't see a pixel out of place. Magic.
As an experiment I uploaded the modified one again, round 2. It said it received a 913KB file. When I download it again it says 892KB.
Round 3: 892KB received, 883KB downloaded.
I still can't tell the difference between the original and round 3.

No reason not to do full resolution when it's available though.
