What kind of delay have folks been getting from ordering from LG partner store to actual delivery? I have seen a few reports of long delays before shipping but I don't recall if it was partner store or LG main etc

The short answer is because they can produce significantly more 65" from a single pane of glass than they can 77". Also - because they can.

Let take a calculator, calculate the screen area, then find the price per square inch. You will know the answer.
