I added a 27" 1440p screen off to the side for dual-screen use.
I added a 2TB thunderbolt 4 / usb 4 disk from Amazon ($80 plus $150-ish).
I added a $17 NVME/2 USBC/2USBA/SDCARD USBC adapter from Amazon, plus a $20 256GB NVME disk in there too.
I kept Apple's keyboard but ditched Apple's mouse, and got a $35 Logitech G903 mouse from Amazon. I also added a Jabra Evolve2/65 headset, which is about $200 on Amazon.
It's a great setup.
I also own an M2 Ultra 64/1TB. The M2 Ultra is faster, sure, but it isn't as if the iMac M3 8/256 is slow; far from it.
