That said, campground campers PLEASE LEAVE THEM HOME home when you go camping in a campground. Boondocking, fine, whatever. But if you're in a rustic, no power, no flush toilets forest service campground with lots of tent campers, please show some restraint. And if you absolutely have to turn it on (I dunno, maybe you need to charge your cpap battery?), do it for like an hour max.
I was just camping over the weekend and someone had this brand and was proud of it. They spent the whole weekend inside their trailer (beautiful weather, low 70s, no bugs!) and ran this nearly nonstop. Why?
I know it says only 57db, but there's more to it than just volume. At least in a natural setting. Close to it, it seemed quietish on the surface but we were aware of it running all over the campground. Even 20 feet from a loud mountain stream, you could sense the drone. Would it bother me in my neighborhood if I knew people were without power? Heck no. But in the woods? Skip it.
Thank you for listening to my rant.
Nice find.

Started with my primary fridge, had a slight stumble and stalled, but may not have been warmed up. Went back out, restarted generator and it energized the fridge circuit, no problem. Then I proceeded to add the garage fridge which also has a soda machine (so 3 fridge/freezers), kitchen outlets (computer and small items), garage doors, furnace fan and the circuit with my router. All came up, generator ran smoothly, was surprised! I thought I might have to alternate fridges, but I know at least 2 were running, possibly 3. Very impressed. I think I paid over $500 for mine back with a Costco deal, but it did what it needed to do. Of course, after being out for several hours, I restored power with the generator and after 10 minutes of running, power came back on. I let it run for another 20 minutes and it was fine and then I switch all circuits back. The computer didn't even power off cutting back to the grid. Next project is to just store the generator out near the plug in some type of generator house so I don't have to drag it across the yard in possibly inclement weather or snow.
Seems like a steal for just over $300 so long as the refurb is good.
I also use it for camping and run the AC overnight. Has worked well.
Changed oil after that and had minimal "gunk". Pretty happy for under $500
I will say the battery isn't worth a dang after like a month of sitting (manual says run often so it's just the nature of things without a trickle/solar top off)
Note: It does NOT come with the oil, funnel, link cables or wrench. It only comes with the propane connector / valve and comes in a generic cardboard box marked "Refurbished".
The generator itself (bought mine refurbished thru Firman direct) got me thru Debby this year modified to run off natural gas per a youtube video. Worked great for 36 hrs straight powering essential refrigerators, lights, etc.

Since mine didn't come with a trickle charger, I got some SAE battery charging connector cables from AliExpress and hooked it up. I can pop it on my car charger every few months for a quick bump. But it otherwise works great for the limited use I have had.
