I bought this last month. It had minor scuffs but the motor area was spotless. It shipped quickly. Tested it and everything worked. Now I need to find a battery charger that fits it because I don't run it enough to maintain the battery. Glad it also has a recoil start.

How much gas did it use up in those 42 hours? Did you use ethanol free gas or regular gas?
87 octane with fuel treatment, I empty my carbs out for winter typically tho.

Gallons about 7 total, topped off at night and definitely had to refuel come morning.

I wonder if these are mostly Costco returns- there always seem to be one in the Costco return area whenever I visit.

Thank you for the data! I know there's figures online and in the manual.

Sorry but what do you mean by emptying the carbs?

Also how "long" can you store the gasoline with fuel treatment?

Any chance you can provide a link to the cable you bought that you're using to hook up to your transfer switch?
The Reliance unit came with a cable to hook to the outside inlet. My previous testing attempt failed because I found out that the cable it came with did not have the proper plug for the generator so I had to buy an adapter:

Great deal! I spent almost this much on 3200 gas only last year. Smh Frown Similar sale, It came in pretty good shape (refurbished) I did have an issue with the recoil but Firman customer service was top notch and sent me the replacement parts I needed free of charge! I'd recommend…

I bought one during the last sale about a month ago. Box came and generator was in decent shape but had obviously been run. It had some oil left in it and it was black as could be, still had an odor of gasoline in the tank. LP regulator was missing which I'm still trying to get Firman to replace. Very slow customer service.

Their customer support told me all refurbs will have under 100 hours of use. I believe they reset the hour meter before shipment as well.
I have no doubt...My refurb which was a total POS still had the same spark plug that was originally in use. What was refurbed?

Thanks, OP. Hope your experience is better than mine was.

The generator worked for a day then nothing. Refurbished? The sparkplug was original; it had mega wear. Replacing it allowed the unit to run for an hour or so to check to make sure it worked. Despite several failed attempts to get it to work a week or so later, and after speaking to Firman, with another email unanswered, I called SquareTrade to report it as defective and thankfully got my money back. Save and register your extended warranty-you will most likely need to make a claim.

It ran my house for 160hrs straight 24/7 operation during beryl. It does consume way more gas than the manual says. 10 gallons every 24hrs. I do oil changes every 50.

Maybe it's better from eBay. I bought directly from firman on their last sale and they sent me 2 bad generators, finally the third one was good but now it leaks oil. You're responsible for troubleshooting and installing replacement parts. They're not very helpful but if you're persistent they'll send a replacement.

Was about to check out and I see that they collect tax on the $389 amount. That's not right. Item is $312 after coupon code. I was already on the fence about these "refurb" returned units. The Wen is $300 and brand new. Might get that instead.

Would you recommend the one you posted or the one thats $30 more? thanks
If you have no need for propane, then the 3200 is more than enough power for most jobs

This started happening to me with Amazon coupons from some sellers now. Pisses me right off.
