anyone tried to use free amazon prime that comes with the plan? does it come with a code or something? I have a trial prime now, would like to use metro's prime after trial..

I did use it when I bough my i12's in August. If your Metro i12 is active, it should receive a text from Metro with a link to sign up for Free Prime (ends when your Metro service ends). If you didn't get that text, search the Internet for "Free Prime with Metro service" and you'll find a link to sign up using your Metro phone number and your Amazon account ID.

Also, you will get only ONE free Prime membership per Metro account (with the $75 plan) because the 2nd line and beyond get a discount on the plan and don't meet the $75 requirement.

Thanks for the information. For esim, when I tried to do a factory reset, my phone offered the option to do reset on esim too, but I didn't select that option. What are the bad things if you don't delete esim when you sell your phone?

If you don't reset the eSIM (the equivalence of leaving the old pSIM in place), it'll show the previous phone number assigned to it. It doesn't matter much if it's a throwaway number. If it's a number that you kept and ported to another phone, then the new owner knows your phone number, although most people don't use that for negative purposes. The new owner can delete that inactive eSIM from the phone.

Thanks for the info. One question. When you select the deletion of esim, will the new esim be recreated after factory reset? The reason I asked this question is because it told me to contact the carrier if I select the option to do reset on esim? Does it really delete the esim from the phone or the esim is still there after the factory reset?

The eSIM is just a storage area in the phone's memory to store information that a pSIM stores. Some newer phones can store multiple eSIMs and you use the SIM Manager function in Settings to select which one(s) to be active. When you delete/reset an eSIM, it just clears out that memory space. You can always reload the previous eSIM from the carrier (if the line is still active) or a new eSIM into that memory space.

Is there a time limit to activate the port over? My current plan doesn't end until the end of Oct so I would ideally like to wait a few weeks before switching over to Metro.

Give it a few days. Is it an iPhone or Android? If iPhone, you can check its unlocked status at www.sickw.com [sickw.com] (use its IMEI and select one of the FREE options for iPhones). If sickw says it's unlocked, turn on the phone, connect it to Wifi, and it will go to an Apple data base to get the unlock status IN THE PHONE changed to No SIM Restrictions. If it's an Android, you'll have to connect it to wifi, go into Settings-->Unlock and keep checking, or select the Permanent Unlock option.

I think Metro automatically activate the phone (and do the port-in) 21 days after shipped.

Ordered one on Monday, received and activated the phone today. Now let's hope they will put more in stock so I can buy a second one for cheap and then trade it in with Apple.

My UPS status initially showed a delivery date but now the status has changed to "The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible". Does anyone know if this likely means they lost my package ?

If UPS Detailed Tracking doesn't show that UPS ever had possession of the package, then the distributor was late in taking it to UPS.

My status showed delivered with a picture of a house that was not mine. I started checking every street close by searching for the identical house number ..low and behold found the house 3 streets over. Phone was there...
