$20 is the cheapest this has been in Amazon history, though it often goes on sale for $25.
One thing that sucks about the set is that the new retail packaging leaves you with a set of loose tools. [crescenttool.com]
The old retail package served as a shitty case. [hardwareandtools.com]
Personally I feel justified getting more expensive set w/ a flex-head on the pass-thru ratchet and case .

Not the biggest fan of Apex tools. Their brands used to be fairly high quality before Cooper/Danaher sold them to Bain Capital and they shifted to putting their brand labels on mostly inferior Chinese-made tools.
Still I have been happy getting NAPA to instore no receipt warranty swap broken Gearwrench stuff (assuming it is something common enough they have it in stock) so guessing I could do the same with Crescent if it came up.

Found the older gearwrench version of this at a junkyard. The case has had me playing 52-socket pickup a few times though...

Is the Sata compatible with the Gear wrench sets?

I'd buy the hex SATA set if it were actually $20ish.

Buy a bloody tool box and organize it. Plastic cases are always junk and take up way too much space

Not sure I'm ok with these being 12 point. I prefer 6 point sockets for everything that doesn't need a 12 point.

I would pay the extra 2.80 for the case. Although I really like the finish of the gearwrench I would end up with half of the sockets missing first month. Wtf was Cresent thinking not including a case. ?

Lol, or pick up one of those "tool bag" deals and toss all of these into a bag.
