Fog juice (like fog bog) is needed for the machine to produce fog. The machine can run in short or long spurts for hours, depending on how much juice you got. The internal tank is not huge so you'll need to refill as you go. It should run with manual push of the corded remote.
A chiller (bought or homemade) cools the output fog so it creeps along the floor / ground instead of dissipating into the air. If you want the ground to be fogged, use a chiller. If not the room or area will fog.
A chiller is usually a container (like a cheap styrofoam ice chest) with water ice or dry ice inside. You can find videos for this, but two holes are need in the container, one for the freshly made fog to go in, and the other for the chilled fog to exit to where you desire.

party City has this fog machine on sale for $43 with free shipping when you use codes Ghost20 and Freeship40. decent fog machine.
Lowe's has this same fog machine for $100.
Great deal for the size. My 700 watt unit is coming up on 10 yrs old and getting tired. Time for a replacement.
I use the Froggy's Bog Fog in it with a homemade chiller for halloween. The kids love it with the decorations
I know zero about fog machines… I see 1g of Fog Bog on Amazon for $35. How long does that run a machine like the one here? And what is a homemade chiller? As opposed to a chiller purchased pre-made? What is it for and is it required? TIA!
