These things slowly fall apart over time....the plastic connectors crack and then don't work very well. If you want something cheap for a year or two, these work. But for long term I recommend spending more. My recommendation is that if this is 10 tiers, make yours 7-8 tiers and then save the rest for spare parts as the rest of it falls apart. Also, if you build the entire 10 tiers, it probably will be kind of wobbly and somewhat unstable.
This is a terrible product and will fall apart quickly.
I am sure you don't know, and I don't worry about the state of California's notifications that much, but why so much agricultural chemicals on industrial shelves? I mean all the chemicals are herbicides and insecticides which seem out of place for a shoe rack. I made my decision based on other comments about the quality but still curious.

I agree, bought something similar from aldi and had this happen. Can you recommend an alternative?

I bought this in 2020. It's still working fine, very fragile though. The fabric tears easily, especially if you put heels on there. I wouldn't expect this to last more than a few months with normal use.

Worth about $5 I'd say. But if you want to pay $12 for it, be my guest

I bought one of these Mainstays shoe racks from Walmart a couple of years ago after one similar to the one listed in this thread started falling apart....it's definitely a lot better than these "cheap" shoe racks. Is it top of the line? No. But at least it's not falling apart so far. And I don't expect it to.

I second that.
The very thin fabric that are holding the shoes will start tearing near the edge.

If anyone is proficient on their sewing machine and create replacement hangers, this may be an ok deal.

The good points are it holds a lof of shoes, and it's 50% less than what I paid in 2020 for $22.

Love this rack -- but I use it a little differently than intended. You can actually break this down into several smaller shelf racks (just stack as many shelves high as you want) and fit them into smaller spaces. I used these to organize a very small closet and they worked like a charm, especially since they are just under 24" in width, which is the width of many small closets. Have a stack of 4 shelves on the floor under a clothing rod, and a few more on the shelf above the clothing rod. They store folded-up sweaters and some pairs of shoes that don't get used as frequently.

Has held up just fine, but I probably use them more lightly than people who use them for storing everyday shoes. Bought it at $10 and probably wouldn't spend more than that, however.

"Nicotine" - probably from the chain-smoking workers in the factory

Everything can cause harm nowadays. Even the slightest trace of chemicals and they have to put this warning on a product.

If this was really a concern, forget about using your phone, or driving a car, or living in a house. They're all full of chemicals.
