I got my first ender 3 for roughly $200 a few years back (also on slickdeals). Printed all the upgrade parts, installed bed level support, and replaced the main board ... I learned a lot of 3d printing knowledge by getting it to work. But from time to time I scratch my head to get a decent printing.

Now I own a Bambu A1 and I can focus on actual 3d design.

This makes me feel like I got ripped off when I purchased the Ender 3 Pro for $99 from microcenter a few years back. 😂

And I had to use a coupon. 😐

This is a great price for an ender 3. This is not a plug and play printer, it will need adjustments and tinkering. I think it would be a great for a someone looking to get into the hobby without paying a lot more.

I'm also seeing a $15 of $30 coupon popup on the Microcenter web site. Should be able to stack that on this deal, but you'll need an email and number never used at Microcenter before to get the coupon.

auto-leveling should be required by law.

Just sayin.

Never messed with 3d printing. If I grabbed this to learn, what else should I get?

Really random question. How big is the box it comes in? I'm going to be on vacation in a city where it's available but it's probably not feasible to lug it with us everywhere or put it in our luggage. Is it something that's worth shipping home at this price? We don't have anything where I live unfortunately.

Patience and attention to detail. Open mind doesn't hurt and reading through posts before asking the same tired questions that have been answered 10k times lol. Seriously though this is a pretty damn good printer if you level the bed correctly

Wow, I remember 8-9 years ago, 3D printers were at least $300+ for a basic one, and now a basic one is $50. How times have changed 👍

Move fast if you want this. I have an Ender 3 and was debating picking up the S1 to get direct drive and built in bed leveling. Went from 20+ to 14 to 8 (now 7 since I just placed my order) in a span of about 15 minutes.
