You'll get more detail from an IEM, but typically a larger soundstage with an earbud. Noise canceling is always better on IEMs.

I just can't stand the pressure that airpod pros/galaxy buds pro 3's/etc create.

If you can tolerate the silicone tip/in ear style, get it.

I find that style painful in less than an hour. I've tried multiple buds and multiple tip styles.

These give you 80-90% of the performance with more comfort.

Can't believe it's on sale already less than a week after it was released. Costco doesn't have it yet on their website. I hope these goes even lower on Black Friday/prime days.

This is slightly off topic, but I feel like with the introduction of 2 variants of the base airpods, they are convoluting that brand line, just like they did with ipads. Normally, it's good for consumers to have choice. But in this instance, it's exhausting for shoppers to have do extensive research on which airpods are right for them. When steve jobs came back to apple after stepping away for a time, the imac line was in the same mess and he consolidated down to just 3 models, base, mid-tier, and pro, and that was a huge reason why apple found their way again. Apple seems to have not learned from their mistakes and are repeating the same mistakes of the past.

What was the all time lowest price for AirPods 3? I think $140 so don't expect much more of a discount.
