Have the A7III (got it from the $95 Prime Day glitch in 2019) and love it still. Not the best camera in the world anymore, but it still takes some excellent pics/video.

I don't think I'd ever spend $1300+ on a rangefinder style camera body just for starting out in podcasting/vlogging.
It's not full frame, but you can get a new Lumix G100 if you're just starting out for half the price with a kit lens.

They are very similar. A7iii is bigger with more buttons so ergonomics are better and it has 2 SD card slots - features that are good for professionals. A7c has unlimited video recording (a7iii stops at 30 min) and records gyro data so you can do some cool stabilization of video in post.

I've had both... The viewfinder on the A7C is darn near unusably small. The A7C II corrects the issue by using a proper viewfinder magnification. The A7iii viewfinder is magical compared to the A7C. A bad viewfinder is a dealbreaker in my books. Besides viewfinder, they are similarly spec'd but the A7C has a fully articulating screen... if you are into that thing. I thought it was a strange choice for a street/travel camera though. A tilt screen is much better suited for hiking and street work.
