Unfortunately there aren't a lot of options for 2.1 cables from a somewhat reputable company that are decently priced. Whatever you get make sure they have all the official markings. HDMI cables can be finicky, especially with the stupid DRM handshake so you definitely want something reliable that won't waste your time and crap out on you.
Probably best to just get HDMI 2.1 and be done with it for a long time (and not get stuck wondering in the future if some feature on your TV/receiver/PS5/etc. isn't working right because of the cable). Shouldn't be a whole lot more expensive (unlike trying to upgrade from USB-C 2.0 to USB-C 3.0, which is an unnecessary upgrade for most people who are simply using their USB-C cable for charging).
5 pk for $12 is pretty good price! Until you consider
10 pk for $7.99 with a few days extra delivery time.

My Google-Fu isn't what it used to be, but it seems no commercially available device has implemented HEC as of 2016. All recent posts come up empty as well.
