Nextdns is another option to look at. Their free tier works great and it's basically a hosted pihole. The team running it is also very privacy focused.

YouTube is a PWA so there is zero reason to install the youtube app and have Google spy on you even more. I also use Twitter as a PWA and Reddit. No reason for them to spy on you and yes AdGuard will block ads for all 3 if you use them as a PWA. With a PWA you can also create a link so you think it is an app.

I hope this finds people well so that they dont install apps when not needed. When you install an app they give you all sorts of access to your personal data and are able to triangulate between apps. Also they take up space on your device when not needed. With a PWA you don't have to worry about updates because there are none.

PWA = Progressive Web App. Just do it!

PiHole ftw, though I understand most people want a 1 and done, pihole will be around long after adguard is gone.
Lifetime means the life of the company

Lifetime means the life of the company and whenever the company wants to get risk of Lifetime customers for whatever reason(s).
They could always blame that you broke the ToS.

Exactly, or youtube could implement something that they cannot bypass. I control my piHole and can have as many devices as I want forever on it

Still nice to have this as a backup or if you're someone who doesn't want to mess with a pihole. Auto updates etc. plus adguard has been around for quite a while. I've had the family plan for i think 4 years now for $13. Been worth every penny even if they go under.

Yes it does. Did you go to the adguard website and read the features on the front page?
