I have 15,000+ hours on a 120" screen with a 1080P projector, sitting at 10ft away. 83" at 10 ft isn't even the THX recommended. You don't know what you're talking about.

Additionally, almost everyone who is looking at $2000+ TV's and doesn't have size constraints is going 98".
Nonsense. The price of bigger screens always drops over time as manufacturing becomes less costly (and market saturation kicks in). This happened with crt, plasma, ips, and every other screen technology. The price on the 65" OLED screens leveled even with the ~40-50" stuff ~2 years ago, and last year the 75 inchers became a lot more reasonable. By next year 75" will have value parity with smaller sizes. The big hurdle after that will be approaching 100" screens. That might take awhile, or maybe before then the market will shit to mini- or micro-LED etc.

If not from LG, the same 83" from Samsung probably will.

I'm not sure about the c2, but for example, I know the c3 to c4 is a fairly dramatic increase in brightness. I have been considering the c4 in 77in and have been comparing and contrasting it with the c3. For me, the difference in brightness and how that makes the picture pop more, is worth it. Not sure what the diff between the c2 and c3 is. More than likely it is worth comparing it to the c3 and the c4.

The 77in c4 can be had for not much more than the 83in c2 btw.
Shopping the 77in c4 on lg website, I got a pop up for 10% off code. Dropped from $2599 to $2339 and they are offering free wall mount install (need to provide your own mount) or free setup with the stand. Free shipping of course.
Also 25% off the 7.1.3 soundbar when combined with the tv as well.
24m interest free financing with approval.

I am close to pulling the trigger. Kinda wanna wait though and see what happens as the holidays roll around. 🤔

*wanted to add, PayPal Mastercard gives you 3% when paying through PayPal and there is another 3% offer when you buy through the app I think. When ordering directly from LG.

Excited to see 80"+ LGs coming down to such reasonable prices. By Black Friday 2025 I'll probably pick one up, although the 100" non-OLED screens might make me change my mind.

Regarding the screen brightness between model years, I think it's overblown UNLESS you are in an extremely bright room in the daytime. I'm talking watching in the afternoons with skylights and westward facing windows and direct sunlight. Our Lg typically is set at ~80% or less pixel brightness and less than 70% screen brightness in our current apartment. In our previous, super-bright home, we still were not at max on screen, but I think the pixels may have been at 100%. I forget.

I have a 65" LG c1 as my main screen for watching TV, lots of sports, and HDR gaming (mainly ps5, but used to use it with my pc). Amongst my good friends we have several C and G series screens along with a B series as well. Most of us have 65", but a couple are using smaller screens as their desktop PC monitors. None of us c1 and up owners has had any problems with our brightness including my prior apartment with a huge wall of windows blasting in light onto our white walls.

This is old. Not worth it. The bigger the size, the worse the price. This is bad, especially consider you need to be about 10' away from something as large as this. I would say 15' without pixelation.

Size is always the bigger upgrade when the specs are so close

I can't believe the downvotes you and others are getting. We've had close to the same price on c3 and c4. Can't recommend.

Nothing good here at these prices for older tech. C2 stuff in late 2024... no dice.

LED much worse over 65" it's not even a debate. Black Friday 2025? Are you talking about buying something over a year away. No point.

Not nonsense, real stuff.. this is almost 2.5yrs old. Old at this point. That is how it goes in the display game.. ask LG/Samsung.. even TCL. Old worship
Black Friday is in a couple months not next year 🙄

10" away… I'm gunna be laying on top of this thing. Great for getting interactive with some adult content. With this size I can finally visualize death by SNU SNU.

I have an 83C1, about 8000 hours in 2 years. Great set.
