Note that the previous thread on this has a massive amount of technical discussion about practically every aspect of this router and detailed setup instructions etc. If looking for answers, I'd start with a search in that thread (terms like OpenWRT, DD-WRT, stock, CA, mesh, USB, throughput, wired, backhaul, bricked, etc). That may be a good start for those new to it, as it probably already answers a lot of questions that are sure to crop up.

Also, here's a link to some of the basic support docs for it from the Linksys site …

Actually this does support mesh, even with stock firmware (it's just not advertised as such).

See Wiki from the previous thread for instructions on setting it up …

damn it..
I only have one story 1200 sq ft to cover..
I already have two
Someone tell me not to buy a third...please
Instead of getting a great deal on a wifi 6 router for only $15, you're intentionally tripling the cost of it. It's like self-inflicted inflation.

I haven't been following it closely but there seemed to be a lot of interest in this router in the OpenWRT and DDWRT communities, along with working beta's. It seems likely the official support will come to one or both of those sooner or later. As many of these as they seem to be offloading at a cheap price I suspect this will end up like the ASUS T-Mobile routers and will be very popular for a long time in the enthusiast circles. In previous threads there were a number of people finally replacing those Asus T-Mobile routers with these routers.
Uh, I just just bought one of these to replace my Asus T-Mobile router on the last woot sale.

Can't even honestly tell the difference for my applications, but figured what the hell for 15 bucks.

Buying a spare …. Or maybe 2. Have this as a 3 node wireless mesh setup from a previous woot deal. Very easy to setup following the previous threads mentioned. Still using the stock Linksys software. Note: I did turn off ipv6 and the node roaming for better connectivity

I'm running the stock Linksys without any issues. Just make sure to follow the recommendations from the other thread. Huge improvement in performance vs my almost 10yr old mesh setup

FWIW I don't see Woot! on the list of Linksys resellers or distributors so I'm doubtful the 1-year warranty will be honored. I've had bad experiences with woot warranties, they wouldn't even warranty my Amazonbasics cable (woot said go to amazon, amazon said go to woot, I said youre the same company...)
Yes.. Woot basically sells without warranty..

You're not alone. I followed the instructions here. The initial version of OWRT to install. But the recommended update kept showing errors. Ran out of time, Gave up and ran with the stock firmware for the other two.

I originally purchased 3 in anticipation of a bricking. That said, I'm disappointed. I want firmware that lets me pick my DNS service. I want to use Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1. The less Xfinity knows about me the better.

Can you elaborate on your "Note" bit please? I'm not very router literate
