I have this one, and it's honestly terrible. Even with the dry boost, still tons of water after a 3 hour+ cycle. Can't wait until this breaks so I can go back to a Bosch

I can't see how this one is better than the others currently on sale for ~$300:

Funny I am in the opposite boat, my Bosch has no drying at all and if I forgot to prop the door open for a LONG time like 24 hours, water on every plastic thing. Can't wait to get a machine with a fan

db rating of 55! Lowe's or GE bill this as quiet yet ratings of 53 or higher are considered noisy. my Bosch is a 42. Once you have basically had silence, you can't go back.

At 55 dB, Lowe's should bundle with some hearing protection. Smilie

The noisiest that I can remember seeing was 62, so that's up there.

For plastic drying somebody needs to post consumer reports recommendations, because they test and rate exactly that capability.

We bought a GE French door fridge in 2023. Food never gets near temperature set point. 4 warranty visits. Escalated to top GE technical engineer. Design issue, not defective. Unit was replaced with a profile upgrade. 6 warranty visits after the replacement...fridge still doesn't have all the OEM features working. Never again GE. This was all to replace a faultless French door whirlpool because we needed a bigger fridge for a growing family.

Or you just take out a dish rag and quickly wipe off the plastic. I think I paid $2 for my dish rag.

We moved heavily away from plastic anyways (for health/environment) and went to glass but the lids are still plastic and require a wipe in my Bosch (100) but it does an OK job. Also FWIW you must use rinse aid to even have a shot (Jet dry or the like).

LoL my mother has a 30 year old Whirlpool that for some reason needed a bigger fridge (or so she said) and they bought a new LG. Well it took 2 months and two new fridges to even get one that worked. They are all made in Mexico or China now at the lowest quality and highest cost. I told her to keep the old one (she did) and its in the garage doing its duty probably for another 20 years. Fridges if they last 5 years these days you are lucky.

Interestingly Bosch is moving a lot of dishwasher manufacturing to the US for NA (NC), so I would rather support that if possible. My 15 yo Ascenta was made in Germany.

I think GE sold there appliance division to Haier (PRC). GE is a logo company now.

I'm not sure what GE makes besides engines. I had a GE water heater fail, I called the warranty number, Rheem answered, then gave me a giant credit for a new one. Ok.

Ge sold its Appliance Division to China several Years Ago. Whirlpool and Maytag are the American appliances of choice.
