I really don't like it when charger brands only market their total max output instead of single port max output. This thing only outputs 65w single port, but it's buried a little down below to give people false impressions.

It's also the first bullet under 'about this item', right at the top of the page. And TBF, you have to scroll to the bottom of their graphics to see this info even for Anker's batteries that put out 140W in a single port.

You can get batteries this capacity that output 100W in a single port (Ugreen)... but I think it's uncommon, as it's probably a pretty niche application to use something this small to run >65W devices for very short periods of time. To each their own, of course.

I've somehow ended up with all Anker's 'Prime' batteries (over time, you see enough deals...). This one is a workhorse for me, often powering two devices (mix of MacBook Air, iPad Pro, and phone). Very much enjoy that it'll charge on one of their charging stands (not included), which also doubles as my MBP charger. I hear it's quite scratch-prone, so I'm always using its included carrying pouch.

I just wish they put single max output in the headline that's all. I do have a 737 that outputs 140w single port that I really like since I have a phone and a macbook pro that actually can manage to draw that much, single port or at the same time, depending on workload.

What phone can draw 140w charging? You have tested this out?

Vivo X100Pro has an advertised peak charging speed of 120w if you start from almost 0% and a reasonably cool environment, which draws about 110w

edit: this sounds very unintuitive so let me rephrase it, Vivo X100Pro can sometimes charge at about 100w, which draws south of 110w, which a normal 100w brick bank couldn't supply.

So in other words, if you use a 100w charger it would be almost unnoticeable vs a 140w charger. Personally I would never want to charge my phone on 100+w daily. That can't be good on your battery. It's why you don't want to rely on a supercharger everyday on your EV.

well because of some PD protocol reasons, with a 100w charger it can be charged at about 80w max. but yeah not a huge difference per se. I just like trading battery longevity with fast charge, win some lose some situation. Also my MacBook Pro 16 inch regularly pulls up to high 120w underload so that's also the reason why I got a peak 140w bank.

The 65w per port actually makes sense. If this was 130w single port then you are probably using it for the laptop in which case 12k mAH would be way too small.

personally i really like anker products, but this has to be one of the worst products ever. 1st order the battery stopped being able to charge after 5 full charges. 2nd replacement the output was stuck at only 40 watts on my macbook pro (2023). 3rd replacement the battery wouldn't charge above 70%. I asked for a full refund and returned the product.

In for 1.

I've been using these Anker Prime Power Banks (20k mah & 27k mah) to power my audio and video recording devices since they were released. With the Anker Charging Base, these battery banks charge faster than any of my other battery power solutions. Additionally, the "time remaining" calculated on the display is invaluable for me.
