I purchased this awhile back, the hardware was fine. iCUE remains the single biggest headache, whether it's disrespecting custom fan curves, spontaneously corrupting itself on update, and so on. It's just not great software, third-party hardware plugins straight up do not function, and it doesn't play nice with Asus's armory crate either.

I would not buy a refurbushed cooler. Mine did not last a year before the pump went and there is no return options at that point. All my new coolers have been good for 4 plus years.

Is that about when you should start considering replacing an AIO? I've had this cooler for about 4 years and it's been problem-free, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't perpetually a little concerned about a liquid cooling product failing while in use. It doesn't help that the first AIO I ordered (different brand) showed up covered in moisture droplets within its plastic wrap.

Meanwhile, I am still using a refurb h100 from like 2016... It was in my machine back then, and now it sits in my children's pc working away until retirement. I also have an old h60 refurb that was used on an htpc at first, and now it sits on my 1080ti thanks to that nzxt bracket.

My last AIO lasted just shy of 5 years before making noses that prompted me to replace it.

I think all the software is bad, without exception, across all companies.

One feature that I appreciate with Corsair is that you can tune settings to not just the CPU temp but the coolant temp as well. Some other companies support that, but it's not universal with AIOs. I have my Corsair keyboard as well as case fans change colors based on temps, which is nice when I don't want to take my eyes off my screen (gaming)

I have gotten the Asus plugin to work and removed ArmouryCrate. My Asus MB and GPU are working with the profile. I followed this guide below.
