DDLC is a wild choice. There's a pretty specific warning at the beginning of the game. Don't take it lightly.

Yes all ps+ games will expire. You'll get them again whenever you renew. However you won't have access to any missed monthly games since they were never "claimed"

Yup. You have to have an active PS+ essentials (or higher) for them to be available.

Dead Space remake.... I played 1 + 2 back in the 360 days. I enjoyed it I guess but don't know if I loved it enough to replay it.

Dead Space Remake is pretty much as perfect of a remake you can get. Reasonable and subtle design changes, but still faithful and extra story bits that are additive without taking away from original's spirit and vibe.

I think the best deal the last couple years on PS+ is to buy PS Store gift cards from Costco during Black Friday/Xmas. These are like $80/$90 for $100 value. Not sure on purchase limits. Then use these gift cards when PS+ memberships go on sale directly in the PS Store (l think 25% off). I think this only happens like once or twice a year.

Agree. 20% is probably the best you're gonna get these days. If you're not ready to drop $80 to get $100 credit to buy essential for a year, just buy one month to at least get the games in your library. but, wait until later in the month so you get to add next month's games too for the same 1 month charge!
