If your ridgid is a drill and youre driving a lot of screws id recommend impact driver as your 2nd tool. With impact you dont have to pilot drill most of the time
---------------------Changing the subject a tad--------------
i bought this drill, have never owned one.
Used it once, seemed great.
3/8t...driil bits...chuck....shank... lot of terms new to me.
I am looking to use the drill to screw/unscrew flat top and Phillips screws around the house.
can someone suggest what i am looking for to use in this drill for that?
i have seen flattop and phillip drills for sale but they are short, long, drill bits. thanks
BUT. If you wanna start doing DIY home project this drill will not cut it. It can barely drive in 2-3 inch screws without struggling before losing all power by the 10th screw. I gave up on it and went straight to home depot to get the Dewalt Brushless drill with 2 batteries combo on Father's Day. No regrets.
I also use it sometimes connected to my kitchen hand-mixer blade to mix batter, yogurt etc... powerful and easy speed control and cordless ...
Then I use it for actual use of driving screws etc too...

Being cheap its something I keep one of in the RV to run the scissor jacks up and down with.

EDIT:
Still grateful, but be warned, your scissor jacks better be brand new or BUTTER smooth for this to crank them. I had to give up during setup and go back to the hand crank.
