How is this as a second / simple backup drill? Maybe this drills the holes and my Ridgid drives the screws?

Yeah pretty good as secondary so i dont have to swap bits, and good enough for light duty main drill, like assembling flat pack furniture. I use mine most often with drill brush for cleaning bathroom.

If your ridgid is a drill and youre driving a lot of screws id recommend impact driver as your 2nd tool. With impact you dont have to pilot drill most of the time

Consumer Reports in recent past said good comments about this low price HarborF. Warrior Drill was a favorite. I dont think it was in the regular ratings but a side note for a good drill for the price.

---------------------Changing the subject a tad--------------
i bought this drill, have never owned one.
Used it once, seemed great.

3/8t...driil bits...chuck....shank... lot of terms new to me.
I am looking to use the drill to screw/unscrew flat top and Phillips screws around the house.
can someone suggest what i am looking for to use in this drill for that?
i have seen flattop and phillip drills for sale but they are short, long, drill bits. thanks

I had a Harbor Freight drill once. For light duty use for small projects like putting together furniture and stuff it's fine.

BUT. If you wanna start doing DIY home project this drill will not cut it. It can barely drive in 2-3 inch screws without struggling before losing all power by the 10th screw. I gave up on it and went straight to home depot to get the Dewalt Brushless drill with 2 batteries combo on Father's Day. No regrets.

i have this and use it with a wall hook connected to it . I use the wall hook to rotate the handle of my skylight to open / close it. This turned out much cheaper than buying a sky window opener...

I also use it sometimes connected to my kitchen hand-mixer blade to mix batter, yogurt etc... powerful and easy speed control and cordless ...

Then I use it for actual use of driving screws etc too...

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Works great for light duty tasks and the battery alone is with it for that price.

Being cheap its something I keep one of in the RV to run the scissor jacks up and down with.

THANK YOU. I literally came here specifically to see if this drill would suffice for this task! THANK YOU!!!

EDIT:
Still grateful, but be warned, your scissor jacks better be brand new or BUTTER smooth for this to crank them. I had to give up during setup and go back to the hand crank.

How the heck can they sell this for a profit at $15? Even if it's so limited. Would genuinely love to know
