Think if your coming from sony or xbox it does seem unreasonable. Nintendo games just seem to hold value longer especially pokemon, mario and zelda stuff.

I pre-order this game and got it on release date digital, it was cool to have it specially on release date, you're the first one to play it and collect all new pokemon, all good except the performance, my god I remember it was slow as F, the game was running at around 10 FPS, after 1 or 2 weeks they start releasing patches, they offer refunds to everyone complaining, it was a mess, the community was disappointed, more like a $30 game but who knows if it will ever go to that price. if you haven't play it and you are a really pokemon fan it's a good price. I got scarlet but violet seems to be a bit better with exclusive pokemon.

If you can look past the poor performance and often straight up ugly textures, there is actually a pretty fun and new Pokemon game buried in there. I'm far from a graphics snob, but in this game that is a seriously bitter pill to swallow.

I rented this a few months back and played probably 1/4-1/3 of what's in it across around 10ish hours. I wanted to play more but the performance finally pushed me away.

It's more like Arceus, but they removed some of the features that I liked about Arceus.

These games are trash. They might be redeemed if the Switch 2 either has a Game Boost feature or they release a performance patch. Otherwise they look and play terrible.

I passed on it just because sword/shield is better. Hell paying for that DLC is still better than getting Scarlet/Violet.
