This is a great little backup for $13. We took a few with us to Disney and on vacation. They serve best as something to plug in to your phone and just leave it to charge on a table or in a bag. It's not great in terms of expecting to plug it in and keep using the phone as eventually the connector is going to either bend or apply too much pressure to the phones charging connector and effect it. But a good charger for emergencies for the money. I'd rather buy from Anker than from a company I've never heard of for this kind of money.

The fact they did the recall shows they are reputable.

When you make this many lithium batteries, there will be batch failures and recalls.

Ask my MacBook Pro. Fire hazard battery recall.

The companies that brush it under the rug are the problem.
Sure, if it's 1 recall, not 4 recalls within a year period.

I had one of these and it broke pretty quickly. Any pressure on that flip port joint will snap it and you're left with a flimsy ribbon cable which breaks eventually. There's a reason they are being discounted.

I have a few and just bought more. These are so small and lightweight. No need to lug around a huge power bank for daily activities nowadays especially with new larger batteries the phones have now.

How often are you really needing 10k-60k power bank? This is like carrying chapstick with you.

I'm cringing while looking at that power bank.

All that weight leveraging against your charging port while plugged in. Hard pass.

Its about conversion efficiency...Battery has to convert voltage to USB standards so it loses capacity in return(There is a formula).

I have a 5,000mAh phone and this charged it from empty(I drain every bit) to 66% so it should be about 66% efficient (Which is normal and its the upper efficiency % of batteries out there).

Got 2 to use back then when I got my Retroid Pocket 4 Pro.
I have a similar experience as you, where my Anker Nano can only charge my phone from 15 up to 75ish % at most. The upside is that the portable battery recharges much faster than a phone, of same mAh, that's turned off. Pros/cons as with any product.

How long can you leave the battery? Charge it up, throw it in a bag, and then need it six months later — would it charge up the phone almost as well?
yes, i had a power bank i left sitting for about 5 years, only lost 1/4 of charge

Anker Nano is disappointing. I doubt that it is a 22 watt charger. Slow charges my Pixel 6 pro. I have a 18 watt power bank that charges my Pixel faster than the Anker. Don't expect it to fully charge your phone.
