Interesting that this deal keeps reappearing. The retailer must be getting some serious discounts from Gigabyte and/or Intel to reduce their inventories. I have almost bit on this to do an inexpensive build, but a few items have kept me from doing so...DDR4, no USB-C header, no WiFi (requiring the use of the PCI slot).

Would probably be better to build a new system in a different case and transfer over any parts you want to keep from the 580-023w then to put the kit into the Pavilion case (which usually is made for proprietary parts).

Probably not. A lot of those hp towers use proprietary motherboard sizes and power supplies

Pretty common deal but still good of an upgrade for a reasonable cost.

Personally going from an i7 3770k to this and for under $300 so I'm happy.
