Decent deal for people who want unlimited. Before it was 6 months free of any plan you chose, I guess they want to steer people toward the more expensive plan now. So basically same as the previous deal if you wanted unlimited, but more expensive if you wanted a lower plan.

They've also changed the "6 months free" to now just be 50% off the 12 month plan. Not sure how that will work if you don't port in a number, in the past you just wouldn't get the 6 free months. But it makes sense to buy a google voice or numberbarn number to ensure you get the full 12 months regardless.

Existing users can buy the phone only for $399.

As always, new users make sure to use a referral link to get $15 in renewal credit toward your second year.

Phone is locked to Mint for 60 days.

The Pixel is pretty much how Android was intended to be, not all bloated and f'd up like what Samsung does to the OS. For that reason, I would never buy a Samsung!

How do existing users buy the phone without a plan? I can't figure it out on the website.

Why are they always selling only the 128GB and never the 256GB?

I am kind of in the same boat, but I will give it a few months until S25 is out. To be fair to Pixel9, it has a very good battery life and not much bloatware.

Login to your account on the computer browser. Click on 'Shop New Phones' and select, add to cart. I didn't not try in mobile browser/app

if you play games.. .its junk. Slower than my 22 ultra.... why don';t they spend a few $ on ARM designed cpu???
pixels are great, but I agree that the Tensor chip is the biggest pitfall. It's great at AI, mid at everything else. I wish they did this more like Samsung where there's a exynos variant and a Qualcomm variant.

But still imo even with the mid chipset the pixel 9 is better than a Samsung phone, oneUI sucks
