I've heard a lot of insurance companies do not want the liability of it.

"People give these away for free or sell them for dirt cheap in usable condition on local marketplace apps/Facebook. I got one for free which was this exact brand and our family used it for a year. I then gave that one away for free because I upgraded to a different brand which was in slightly better condition for $20. We are on our second year for that one. So I pretty much paid $10 per trampoline."
I assume people give them away when their insurance companies force them to, or their kids outgrow them, or they get tired of having a lawn mowing obstacle.
