I got charged $47.75 for $50 Google Play Gift Cards (5%) using Target Circle Credit Card in the last promo, and the promo card is Target gift card and not Google Play card.

I don't remember how they Cal the total. But do remind you that the rule of the target circle has changed since April. Anything with a Target promotional gift card doesn't count toward the circle total.

My GC purchase was on Aug 4, 2024. Anyhow I will see if it charges differently this time!

You can get 3 gift cards (probably, I did 2 this time) if you place the order separately. If you put all 3 in one purchase, you will only get 1 GC.

Yup it looks like the 5% Target Circle Card still applies to the entire order ($50, took $2.5 off) but the exact calculation is truly weird. In the Google Play Gift Card email, it did say the purchase was $42.5 for $50 GC, so $45 (GP Promo) - $2.5 (Target Circle discount) + $5 (Target Promo Gift Card) = $47.5. TIL

Ultimately, it is still a $50 Google Play Gift Card + $5 Target Gift Card, regardless of the amount charged...

But I think you cannot do a split payment with backup account. So if you only add $50 and want to pay youtube tv $75 premium, you can't split with credit card
