There was a deal at BB on Pixel 9 launch day, BB gave about $800 in trade-in value for iPhone 12, making new Pixel 9 $0 out of pocket. On top of that, in my state, BB didn't even charge sales tax on the new phone, so iPhone 12 and Pixel 9 was an even exchange.

With Metro's $75 iPhone 12 and $3 for Google Voice unlock, Pixel 9 was to be had for $78.
This deal has long gone, BB probably figured out its a lost , few days after 12 even not in the trade in list..

36 month 'contract'
It's not really a contract because you can pay off the phone anytime you like and they will unlock it then. But then you screw yourself because you lose that $1,000 trade-in credit.
If you're going to stay with AT&T anyway for 3 years its a no-brainer.
If you want the freedom to move from carrier to carrier and from phone to phone then it's not.

Awesome! Thank you very much for the information. This was extremely helpful.

Do most carriers take this as trade-in even if its locked to Metro? Like Verizon if I wanted to trade-in?
AT&T took mine and I entered the Metro IMEI on the Verizon trade-in website and it said they would take it but I never actually tried.

Metro is driving me mad. Trying to add a new line to my account with a port in. Both times the order fails due to some identify fraud check. The port request goes through, but the order is not complete. I had to call and after 30 minutes they said I had to cancel the port request. Transfer, had them do that.

Tried to make a new order, same thing. Now on the phone again trying to get the port in cancelled. I'm going to call to make the order next and if that doesn't work I'm done. Not worth wasting more hours to get a 12 to trade into ATT for a 16 pro. Can just buy other phones that trade in for $1000 at ATT, just more than $75 or in my case since I'm adding a line $35.

It got even worse: Called to try and make the order. Rep says the phone isn't free with a port in only a new number. Noooo, it's free only with the port in. Back and forth. Hang up. Call again. Different rep. Sorry we cannot add lines over the phone.

This is known fact. Metro sim works with TMO phones, but TMO sim won't work with metro phones.

I bought an iphone 12 for $75 last week and activated a few days ago. I would like to get another iphone 12 for $35. What are the steps to do that? Do I need to port in another phone number? I logged in to my new Metro account and pressed the "Add a new line/device". What are all of the steps?

Bought 3 in March deal. Traded one to Best Buy for a free Pixel 9. Others are backups for our daily drivers which are iPhone 14s. Great deal but can't justify getting another.
Do we have same promotions right now for pixel 9?

I tried adding a new line to my existing account that I created from the last deal but it didn't let me do that. Not eligible for adding a new line
Did you activate your last line? There is a block in the system that won't allow you to purchase new device until you activate the first one.

1st line is for 75 after that you can add up to 3 lines 35 each. Just added my 4th.

I got 3, but the 4th it won't let me order. Keeps failing at submit due to some identity check. Twice now. It starts the port in so I have to call to have the port request cancelled each time. Driving me mad.

Did you have to port in a phone number for each phone? Phone 2, phone 3 and phone 4.
