You're right. The 2 x usb-c ports seem to be in the back. It's an unusual place for ports, but they seem to be there.

2 USB-C 4.0 ports are on the back of the chassis.

I was thinking about that but didn't want to go and check the model and no pic of the back. Well it's a nice laptop now!

It's easily (IMO) the best thing about this laptop. Power and some USB ports in the back. Until you get one, you don't realize how awful it is having power especially come out the side, often times right where your mouse goes, or right where a armchair from a couch is binding it etc. The legion gaming series has most of it's ports out the back, I can hookup external monitors, power etc without taking up precious desktop space. Rear ports, good screen, 10 key are my 3 big dealbreakers on laptops these days.

Yeah strange port & trackpad placement, its reasonably powerful but a lotta questionable ergonomics esp for a work station

Would a laptop like this come with bloatware or is it fairly clean?

That's a great point, thanks for pointing it out!

Is this a better deal than the Thinkpad P14 that went on sale a few days ago?

Hard to say, i am not up to speed on the spec comparisons for the cpu and video. That P14s is very well spec'd, comes with 4x the ram, 2x the hard drive space. Once you sort those out the bigger comparison between the two comes down to form factor, the P16v is a professional full chassis laptop, again not familiar on the AMD side but likely has its own dedicated 130-180w power port which is kind of nice because the thunderbolts wear out overtime, and the old 5.5mm or whatever its called yellow tip rectangle is much more durable but not as easy to travel with, which is the entire difference between the two. The P14s is a much thinner and more mobile laptop. It likely only has one fan and set of exhaust ports compared to a fullsize chassis. Should also note there's a difference in screen size, which probably should have mentioned first but i am speaking more to the actual chassis.

P16v is more durable but its big and heavy compared to a P14s, but more durable. It's really up to you which one will work better. I order the P16v type thinkpads for work and the P16s (if that's a thing) for my home use (i tend to prefer having the 10key). You really can't go wrong with anything P series, its the top of the line professional power user offering in the Thinkpad brand.

I've tried Googling, but the world of laptops and docking stations always leaves me lost. Is there a docking station that would charge this, so I'm only required to plug in 1 peripheral?
