Yes Google voice worked for verification without unlocking it once get device pay $3 to unlock GV for porting or try activate with new number YMMV or port different number on activate page.

These Automatically unlock with only 1 month service after Activation on 60th day can confirmed unlock date by texting UNLOCK to 611611

Great deal if you can get it. Anyone have any tips on how to pass id verification? Everything goes through on my end but I get an error saying they cant verify my identity. I did one of these deals about a year ago so maybe that is the problem.

It's a Tracfone company. That's why this is an impossible transaction.

So if you just want the phone, basically port a number in, sign up for one month of service, and don't renew after the first month? Is that how this works? Sorry, noob here.

if i did similar deal for a diff phone before, can I do this one as well? hopefully limit 2 is only per specific phone (not lifetime)?

Are you really sure by ordering & getting the phone successfully before paying $3 to unlock the GV number? In MetroPCS, if you don't unlock the GV before ordering the phone, the ordering process will fail because MetroPCS will try to reserve that GV# during the ordering process.

Verification is just a text code to see if number is eligible. You setup the port number on activation page after get the device.
