"For all cellphones Activated with TracFone on the T-Mobile or AT&T networks on or after November 23, 2021, the cellphone will be remotely unlocked upon customer request after twelve (12) months of active TracFone service.
For all cellphones Activated with TracFone service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, the cellphone will be remotely unlocked automatically, sixty (60) days after Activation."
Verizon had a problem with the FCC, who forced their hands.
If you go to their site, you'll see that no matter what (short of time payment for phone incomplete) their phones unlock 60 days after activation -or- purchase.

Do we have to use this phone for the whole month or just activate the sim with it? I'd prefer to keep using my pixel but have this unlock after 60 days as back up
The software is annoying, intrusive in notifying you about everything from sun is rising to your sisters friends aunt is having a birthday next Tuesday.
If the phone was freezing, crashing, or slow, it was clearly a defective unit. Which is why I keep my last phone in a drawer (backup phone) in case new one goes belly-up.
This edge has various improvements not least is Android 14, with promise of iirc, 3 versions of Android update..to Android 17?
....Then again, Maybe you work for Samsung, Oppo, Sony, etc.
How much did you pay for it? I just bought a used one Verizon Unlocked from eBay for $150 plus tax last Friday for usage in Spectrum.

What am I doing wrong? Any tips/tricks?
Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank lepton_ytht
Also went through cashback portal, should have worked there too
Only thing to keep in mind is if you try adding lines and reentering the same number one too many times, it'll start rejecting that number as a way to get the 0.00 price
I had to make another account and do ID verification on it to get the 0.00 port in offer to show again
So yeah, don't do that. Take the offer and run IMO
And add a second line later if you wanna
I may wait for it to come in and check if I need to actually port in the GV number I entered or if I can try to get a new number assigned, as one of the first comments in this thread says usually works
Running low on GV numbers and need new numbers I can use to verify GV numbers with lol

This happened to me too, but not at first
It was only after I tried to use that number with verification step too many times, I think. Got flagged as problematic
Way I got around it was just redoing the making an account and ID step
You may also consider risking it with a number you don't intend to actually port and then trying to get yourself a new number when the phone arrives and you need to activate it
The value in the Quantity field is invalid. Ensure the value is a positive integer and try again.
