I recently move to TW for 50% off service plan promo. I am wondering if I can get this phone as an additional line and cancel it later on? I did not do ID.me when switching.
Whats the best way to get this deal? just interested in keeping unlock phone as backup.

Do I need to cancel the plan before the second month? Or just stop paying or let it expire?
I have the same question. Would someone please answer this question? TIA.

I saw someone said to let it expire. Keep in mind you will lose your number if you do this. I don't know if you can port out of Total Wireless if you want to keep the number, but I don't see why not. the phone will just be a wifi-only mini tablet for the next 30 days.

Metro by T-Mobile no longer allowed the port-in GV number to be counted in the promotion. They will port in your GV number if you want, but they will treat it as a new number price.
My order will arrive today. I used the GV to place an order. Am I still good or they will charge me full price for the phone?

My post referred to Metro by T-Mobile, not Total Wireless. I assumed you ordered this phone via Total Wireless and you are good to go.

It may still unlock but it's risky because if it doesn't automatically unlock and you will need to contact their unlock department it maybe hard to contact them without an existing account.

But most of people only paid one month and let account die, their phones got unlocked without any problem.

I recently did the Motorola Edge smartphone offer from Total Wireless that was on here.
This is my first time ever using a locked phone and first time with Total Wireless or Verizon. I'm curious.. with the Motorola Edge deal you pre-pay for 1 month of an expensive $65 package.. But I'm curious if 1 month after activating if I can switch to this $20 plan? That would be really great. Does anyone know?
and also the Motorola isn't my main phone.. but I could use it until the device locks.. and then I'm able to put the Total Wireless SIM card into an unlocked phone and continue using the $20 plan?

Got mine friday and ordered a nice case and screen protector came on Saturday.
Got it activated and shows 12/25/24 for unlock.

Turned off the "start up" sound then debloat via ADB to remove all the crap.

For those interested, Got the Supershieldz screen protector + Natbok Moto Edge 2024 case at amazon.

Good fit and the screen cover installed flawlessly with no bubbles.

your account doesn't die though, it goes unfunded. when you port out, they close the account fully

the $20 plans are BYOD and it's unlikely since the IMEI will be in their system already.
