Yes Google voice worked for verification without unlocking it once get device pay $3 to unlock GV for porting or try activate with new number YMMV or port different number on activate page.

These Automatically unlock with only 1 month service after Activation on 60th day can confirmed unlock date by texting UNLOCK to 611611

I am reading long thread but any expert share any trick or tip on verification process....so far GV part is clear but it didn't work for many.

Metro don't have id verification (bunch of security questions) but phone unlocks after 365 days (that is the only reason to checkout this deal).

I successfully ordered today, and a few hours later got a shipping notification. I attempted to activate on a new number following the instructions but it immediately gave me a warning telling me that I could only activate it on transfer and wouldn't let me proceed Frown

needs to be new line port in & you're required to purchase a plan - read requirements.

This Motorola receives 2 system updates and 3 years of security updates. Phones still work without security updates. There are plenty very highly rated free anti-virus apps. I put avast anti-virus on my older phones that stopped receiving security updates. Apps are regularly updated too with security updates as well.
