This is a great deal. I paid for this machine about 2 years ago for $599 during thanksgiving.
Though I recently started having issue where water doesn't flow and the machine stops after 5 seconds. If you just google "barista pro stops after 5 seconds." You'll see plenty of information on it. I am now in contact with Breville trying to get this resolved.
I also learned that I cannot take the machine to local shops for repair. I must send it to Breville for repair which I find ridiculous…..
The thing with these is warranty, 2 years limited is somewhat crappy imo for a $850 machine especially when used on a daily basis. However, Breville support seems okay so far and I've read that their repair cost is somewhat reasonable.
Another thing is that you need to be able to take care of the machine. So many people had the water pipes clogged because they procrastinated on descaling. For myself, i could never remember changing the water filter every 2 months….
As the saying goes "if you take care of the machine, it'll take care of you"
So other than the stated issue above, overall I am happy with it when it works. It makes great coffee.

The grinder on the Pro is stepless, so it will make dialing-in easier.
The grinder on the touch is still based on the "Express" model so the grinder adjustment mechanism has very large gaps between settings. That will make dialing-in more frustrating because you'll often find yourself stuck between two settings.
