This was made into a movie that just hit theaters last Thursday. Looking at reviews of the movie, it looks like it is a smash hit. Overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Yeah. I saw it last Sunday. The animation was absolutely gorgeous. Especially the water simulations.

Overall, the film is fantastic. Very moving and thought provoking at times. Reminds me of Wall-E.

The guy who made this film also made: How To Train Your Dragon and I believe, Lilo & Stich. Have not seen either of them but I plan to see them at home this weekend.

Awesome book for older kids. Was able to snag a hardcover copy with an Xfinity Rewards code a little while ago, and what I've learned about movie adaptations isโ€ฆif a studio decides to adapt a book, the book is guaranteed to be a banger. More often than not the adaptation doesn't live up to the mark, but boy do these Hollywood boys know how to find source material! They'll scour the ends of the Earth rather than create their own story ๐Ÿ˜‚

Search xfinity on SD and it's the first listing. The Fandango code might still be available as well

Just saw the movie last night. My 8yo was so excited after reading the 3 books. It was fantastic. Didn't know much about the story ao can't comment on any deviations but it was executed with fantastic storytelling, humor and emotion. I can't stand most movies but this one nailed it.

The movie is awesome and has a lot of heart, definitely not just a kids movie (I'm not a parent but I think especially a parent could appreciate it). This is a good one for fans of Charlotte's Web. That was about figuring out the cycle of life but this is about figuring out one's role in life (and has some action sequences towards the end unlike Charlotte's Web).

Did anyone else's school distribute these books for free? My child's school did and so did my friend's child's school(which is privately funded).
Just wondering if they're trying to push a franchise.
