An activist investor took a 10% stake and is demanding the changes, and claiming Southwest won't recover unless they do what they're told (which means cut corners and make flying as miserable as possible while destroying all good will with customers in pursuit of short-term profits). The activist is also just full of ****, because the main reason southwest stock is taking a beating is because Boeing's problems and delays have totally screwed SW in the medium-term (because SW is an all-737 fleet). When 737 deliveries start again (particularly of the long-delayed smaller variants) SW stock will bounce back all on its own. Of course, the activist investor ignored all of that in their BS slide decks. But it's working anyway, and the CEO is making a bunch of terrible changes that will totally screw SW and relegate them to competing purely on price by 2026.

There's more to it, but i guess that's the short version. Just lots of weak management being preyed upon by terrible "investors" all in the name of turning a quick profit while screwing over the company. It was good while it lasted.

Southwest be capping more than policticans with their "sales."

There are better ways to waste time than to browse their sales.

I think its just confusion because the OP was updated during the day. This thread was originally just a heads up about the upcoming sales which were still to be announced. Looks like the first "discount" has now been added to the OP.

I'll give the code a try to see if I can save on a few of the flights I've already booked.

I'm on the webpage, not the app because I'm booking for a young traveler and keep getting this message:

Every time I get to the passengers part- I get this message.
I really need this deal to workout... So of course I'm going to have issues.. dang it!!

EDIT: It must be a mobile thing. When I used an ipad it worked perfectly.

These promos rarely produce for me. When using the code & repricing what I already have booked (which i check daily for price drops BTW), found $112 less pp fare on an early Dec flight I had booked to MCO. Figured I'd have to go into account and cancel existing flight, then rebook. When I went to "change" it, the price appeared. Nice to be able to save a couple of steps & have the credit in our accounts.

Worked for me for flights to Denver from Detroit in Dec & Jan. Didn't work for Vegas or Miami in Feb, though.

Try a December 12-13 RT OGG-HNL route . Even though the promotion wording lists Hawaii above it apparently does not cover HI to HI intra island flights I don't believe.
