For those interested in the specifics of Samsung's 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0 requirements, I'd recommend a reference such as the following [chargerlab.com] specific to the S24 Ultra. Though individual devices will vary, and said devices will a;so vary in their handshaking with associated chargers, the general requirement for 45W SFC 2.0 phones has been Programmable Power Supply support for up to 5A in the voltage range between 9-11V.

This is the reason why Samsung's OEM USB-C charger cable is now typically an e-marked 5A model rather than the standard 3A rating for USB-C to USB-C - support for greater than 3A of current is a key requirement for SFC 2.0 since voltages for most devices is being limited below 11V.

Also, note the output ratings of Samsung's own 45W SFC 2.0 charger [samsung.com]. The Insignia model copies those ratings, presumably in an effort to maintain the same level of compatibility.

9V at up to 3A
15V at up to 3A
20V at up to 2.25A
Programmable Power Supply (PPS):

3.3-11.0V at up to 4.05A
3.3-16.0V at up to 2.8A
3.3-21.0V at up to 2.1A


It does bear repeating that very few SFC 2.0 phones on the market negotiate a voltage above 11V.

So although not every SFC 2.0 device may negotiate a true 45W rate with this Insignia adapter, this Insignia adapter should be as capable as the Samsung 45W SFC 2.0 charger at supporting comparable SFC 2.0 rates (as in: target PPS voltage at greater than 3A current).

I had something like this mainly to plug in my laptop via usb c for 1 hour. Then it temp ended up being very warm. I'm afraid this suffer could the same outcome Frown

Yeah, that's the important thing you should find out before you buy any charger.

On one hand this charger doesn't support PPS profile 21V/2.25A required for fast charging of Pixel Pro/XL...

On other hand Goggle's official 45W charger doesn't support PPS profile 10V/5A required for fast charging of Samsung Ultra series phones.

Basically you need to lookout for a charger like Anker 313 which can support both PPS profiles and you need to carry only one charger instead of two.

45w is perfect for tablets, power banks, and phones, if you want to charge a laptop usually 65w-100+ is recommended for long term use but these 45w insignias are great for occasional laptop use while traveling, I prefer them to Anker

But Anker 713 Charger doesn't support PPS profile 10V/5A required for super fast charging also known as Samsung Superfast Charging 2.0 (SFC 2.0) for Samsung Ultra series phones. It maxed out to 25W (SFC 1.0). That defeat the main purpose of this deal.

Are you sure? I bought this a few days ago and used the good cable that came with it. It did not show the Fast Charging 2.0, only the regular fast charging was showing.

I tried another trusted cable, which shows Fast Charging 2.0 with my other power adapters and still did not show the Fast Charging 2.0 with this Insignia adapter.

I would buy another one had it supported Fast Charging 2.0 but I'm sure it does not.
