FWIW I'm pretty tolerant of jank / AA games / lowbrow humor / old games....but just could not tolerate Forever when playing for the first time this year. The game is just 'cringe' and lazy. And sadly the best part of DN is the humor but here the jokes would have not landed even when Duke Nukem 3D game out originally. The shooting was competent (mostly) however rail shooter portions, RC car part, etc were just terrible and you just wanted them to end.
If someone wants a modern Duke I'd suggest Duke Nukem's Bulletstorm Tour over this.
Duke Nukem Forever is like Postal 3, if you must play it, just don't expect much and only do so to scratch it off the bucket list.
Literally shows both Windows and macOS icons under each game title... Glad I clicked and didn't assume it was Windows/PC only.
