I did drive 700miles recently with 2 bikes in the back and was not concerned at all that something would break.
Too bad that there is no extra bike extension for this type.

I have this for our two e-bikes and very highly recommend for both the price and design. The thing is rock solid. With both bikes loaded, I drive 80 mph all day long. No shakes or rattles. Paid almost $7k for the bikes and I didn't want to risk damage to them with a cheapo rack.
If anyone out there is expecting to buy an e-bike, you definitely want this. Has locks for both the trailer hitch mount and each of the bikes. Do yourself a favor. Buy this. I am a cheapskate by nature but am glad that I went all out on this. With an employee discount, I still paid $750. At the posted price, you can't go wrong.

It is much better than its predecessor.
The ramp is nice and stores away inside the rack when you're not using it. However, if you can lift your bike you probably won't use it.
The clamps in the middle make securing the bikes easy. However, you're going to want to remember which way you put your bike in so you don't have to reposition the clamp (not a big deal) every time.
The clamps easily lock as does the rack to the hitch all with the same key.
The only negative is that I wish the knob that tightens the rack to the hitch gave you more leverage (maybe a ratcheting lever).
This is also a great price. I paid about $200 more a few months ago.
